WHY KRAV MAGA?

Why Krav Maga?

1) You can join a gym and get fit. You could also jog, swim, or do any of a multitude of activities designed to get you in shape. The problem is none of that is going to help when someone’s pointing a gun at you or four guys are invading your home. Warriors Krav Maga will not only get you into what will probably be the best shape of your life, but you will also learn to defend yourself faster than any other way known to man. There’s a good reason that the FBI, the military, and many police departments have adopted this system.

2. Traditional martial arts, provided they’re taught right and your local club is not just a daycare center for children, may provide some of the same benefits as those listed above. The problem is that, in a good system, that will still take you three to five years. And that puts you at a point where you’ve only mastered the basics. That doesn’t make sense if all you really need is a fast, effective method to defend yourself and your loved ones. That’s why Krav Maga is superior to the above.

What About MMA?

Of course, some of you will be wondering about MMA or Mixed Martial Arts as a possible option. Look, we love and respect our brothers and sisters who train and compete in MMA. There’s no question it’s tough training and those guys are in shape. However, if they’re honest, even they will tell you what they do is a sport. In other words, they don’t train to deal with anyone brandishing a knife or a gun. They don’t train to fight more than one person at a time. They don’t fight people outside of their gender or weight class but, most importantly, they don’t learn any soft skills.

What Are Soft Skills?

What are soft skills? Things like: how does a criminal select his victim? what’s situational awareness, and how do you practice it? Verbal de-escalation as used by hostage negotiators to calm potentially volatile situations and people down; to recognize the four subliminal signals a bad guy will do before he attacks you; a study of the legal ramifications of what it is you’re learning so you avoid going to court for excessive force.

Questions You Need To Ask Yourself

So, does it make more sense for you to get in shape at a gym or get in shape while you learn to defend yourself?
Does it make sense to do the latter in a system designed to be ultra-quick or to spend five years to get a black belt?
Does it make more sense to train in a system designed specifically for self-defense or one that will prepare you to fight one person who weighs exactly what you do and isn’t carrying weapons?
Answer those honestly, and you’ll realize why Krav Maga LKN is the best choice for you.
