Does Your Teenager Need Help Becoming Their Best Selves?
For students aged 12 – 17, we’ve added teen self-defense classes. Teen classes run two days per week at our Cornelius location. Classes are on Tue and Thu evenings from 5:30 until 6:30 pm.
Your teen will not only learn the techniques of Krav Maga but also how to carry themselves, so they’re no longer victimized, and unlike any other school in the country, we guarantee our training. If your child is still being bullied after 12 months of training, we’ll refund your entire tuition.

Did you know that:
Over 70% of middle and high school kids in the U.S. deal with bullying every day.
Bullying at school often leads to suicide and depression in adults.
That a recent study shows that most anti-bullying programs actually make the bullying worse?
STOP! Our teen self-defense classes are not for everyone.
We will teach your child to exercise their right to defend themselves should it ever become necessary. This approach actually works – unlike pink shirts, puppet shows, group hugs, and reporting bullying to the teachers. If you have a problem with that, we’re probably not a good fit.
YOUR TEEN WILL GROW WITH EVERY CLASS!
Teenagers who study martial arts learn the benefits of self-control and discipline with every lesson. Our classes emphasize core values like discipline, respect, and persistence. Students learn that the way they treat others – in and out of the dojo – reflects on them as people and affects their ability to achieve their goals.
The confidence they gain in these classes will carry throughout their entire lives.
One of the major benefits of our teen classes is the confidence it will instill in your teenager. Again and again, we see shy kids turn up to train who can’t make eye contact or speak up. Within six months, they’re helping to run the warm-ups, smiling, making eye contact, and making friends. The change is incredible. Even if they’re never unfortunate enough to need their self-defense skills, the increase in confidence alone is worth the program.
JUDGMENT IS AN ESSENTIAL SKILL IN SELF-DEFENSE
Whether they’re in a self-defense class or in a competition, the difference between a good performance and a poor one often comes down to judgment.
Students learn how to make judgments on the fly using the information they have on hand in conjunction with their training.
They also learn how to differentiate between good instincts and bad ones – and to use that information to make judgments.
GET YOUR TEENS OFF THE COUCH AND INTO MARTIAL ARTS
It might seem like your teenager would happily spend all day sitting on the couch playing video games or posting on social media.
The electronics epidemic might be a good thing in many ways, but teenagers still need physical activity to stay fit and healthy.
Martial arts classes provide teens with challenging workouts in a fun, social setting that rivals any video game.
HOW TO SET (AND ACHIEVE) GOALS
Teens sometimes seem not to care about setting goals either in the short-term or the long-term.
The study of martial arts requires them to pursue goals on a regular basis. Each skill they learn, and each belt they earn, represents a goal that they have achieved.
Goal-setting in this way provides teens with the tools they need to set achievable goals in school, at home, and in life.
