In Cornelius & Huntersville, NC

Real Self-Defense For Real People. No Fluff, No Tournaments.

Warriors Krav Maga offers adult Krav Maga classes in Cornelius, NC for men and women 18 and older. Classes are held at our Huntersville-area location on Old Statesville Rd, serving the entire Lake Norman region, including Davidson, Mooresville, Denver, and Charlotte. Every class is built around one goal: making you harder to kill.

Self-Defense Is A Basic Human Right

You have the right to go through your life without living in fear. Whether that's heading to your car at night, traveling, at a gas station, or in your home. And, you should be in a position where your children and loved ones live without that fear, either - knowing that you can protect them should the need arise.

Our classes give you that skill and that confidence.

They're built for real people, not kids who want to fight in a cage. You'll learn practical skills that work in the real world, while improving your strength, stamina and awareness.

What You'll Learn

Most self-defense schools start teaching you when you're already in a fight. We start three steps earlier.

Our adult curriculum covers:

Soft Skills, the 75% most schools skip

Situational awareness and how to read your environment

• How criminals select their victims and how to make yourself someone they ignore.

• Pre-attack indicators: the unconscious cues attackers give off before launching their assault

• Verbal de-escalation techniques used by professional hostage negotiators.

• Mindset training because techniques without it are as much use as a chocolate fireman

• Legal ramifications of everything you learn, because too many martial artists end up in prison due to ignorance of the law

Hard Skills: What To Do When It's Unavoidable

Strikes, defense, and counterattacks that work under stress

• Defense against holds, starting with the most common for both men and women

• Weapons defense: Knives, guns, and impact weapons

• Multiple attacker scenarios

The stuff nobody else teaches

Tactical first aid

• Anti-Carjacking

• Active Shooter/Killer defense

• OC Spray training

Who Is It For?

Our adult classes attract a wide range of people, men and women, beginners and experienced athletes, students in their 20s and retirees in their 60s. What they have in common is that they want practical skills, not a hobby.

You don't need to be fit, flexible, or coordinated to start. The training gets you in shape while you're learning. Most people don't notice the workout because it's built into the lessons.

If you've been put off by other martial arts schools, the long contracts, the belt factories, the eight-year-old birthday party atmosphere, this is the antidote.

Why Krav Maga Works For Adults

Krav Maga was developed for the Israeli military specifically because it needed to be learned fast and work under real stress. There are no forms to memorize, no archaic techniques designed for 15th-century farm tools, and no sporting rules that get you killed in a real situation.

It's based on natural body mechanics, which means it works regardless of your size, strength, or athletic background. A 58-year-old woman with a hip replacement can learn techniques that work against a 25-year-old attacker. That's by design.

What's A Typical Class Looks Like

Classes run for one hour. You'll warm up, work a specific technique or scenario with a partner, then apply it under pressure. Every class has a practical takeaway. You leave tired, more capable, and usually in a better mood than when you arrived.

There are no forms, no bowing, and no tradition kept alive for tradition's sake. Just useful skills, trained in a welcoming environment by instructors who have used this material in the real world.

Your Instructor

Adult classes are led by Nick Hughes, one of the most credentialed self-defense instructors in the United States. Nick served in the French Foreign Legion's parachute regiment, where he taught unarmed combat. After the Legion, he spent years as a professional bodyguard protecting Saudi royals, VIPs, and international rock tours. He holds black belts in Karate, Judo, Aikido, and Jujitsu and has been teaching self-defense for over 40 years.

He's not teaching theory. He's teaching what kept him alive.
